Metal prints — Travel
Travel posters are a French genre. Cassandre, Roger Broders, Loupot and Carlu invented a visual language between 1925 and 1935 that reduced a destination to three fields of color. PLM commissioned series for the Côte d’Azur, London & North Eastern Railway for Scotland, and Compagnie Normandie for transatlantic crossings.
This was the golden age of the illustrated poster, just before photography took over. The collection gathers destinations we love (the Riviera, Italy, Morocco, Japan and the United States) in an Art Deco spirit. Archival reproductions on 275 g/m² fine-art paper.
